Susan Grella came to the world of residential sales after running her husband’s family property management company for 14 years – a company she took from operating at a loss to great success by developing loyal, trustful relationships with her clients. Always intrigued with real estate personally, which she long considered her “hobby,” Susan then began helping friends who came to her for real estate advice. Drawing on her passion and her experiences, she today helps clients find their dream home in Manhattan.
Susan focuses on assessing each person's unique needs and wants in a practical way, so she can match ideal properties to their lifestyle and budget requirements. Constantly educating herself on the market and different neighborhoods, she enjoys sharing this insight with her clients and guiding them to the best value.
Since moving to New York from England, 22 years ago, Susan has always lived in the Turtle Bay/Beekman/Sutton Place area. She resides there with her two sons and black Lab. Susan appreciates each neighborhood for its individual character and charm, though she especially loves the central location and history of her own community. “I’m just minutes from the hustle and bustle of Midtown, and steps from the quiet Beekman and Sutton Place enclaves, with their many waterfront parks; an ideal place to sit and watch the river flow by!”
Besides her experience in New York City real estate, Susan also understands construction, design and envisioning the potential of space having built two homes in Orient Point, on the North Fork of Long Island. Her keen attention to detail, diligence work ethic and outgoing, energetic personality are sure to make the real estate process an enjoyable, enlightening experience.
Originally from Surrey, England, Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing and History. She began her career in the buyer’s trainee program at Bloomingdales. In her spare time she spends time with her boys and dog, in Orient, where she enjoys gardening, swimming, browsing yard sales and antique fairs. Susan is also a volunteer Parent Tour guide at her son’s school, and a member of the Historical Society on the North Fork.
