“In the business world, the rear view mirror is always clearer than the windshield.” --Warren Buffett
After 24 successful years as a Manhattan real estate professional, Mady Faber finds this quote from famed investor Warren Buffett to be particularly insightful. “In real estate, there is no substitute for experience,” she says. “By learning from both accomplishments and missteps, I have developed knowledge and relationships that benefit my clients in every transaction.”
As her clients will attest, Mady’s vast experience and unsurpassed market knowledge have served them well over the years. Coupled with her professionalism, dependability and reputation as a skilled negotiator and creative marketer, she has established a thriving business built on the trust, loyalty and referrals of her clients. A good communicator who truly understands the importance of listening to her clients, Mady’s warmth and positive energy makes an often daunting real estate process enjoyable for her clients and the professionals that she works with.
Mady has also set herself apart from other real estate professionals by going the extra mile. Rather than just searching for apartments, she has regularly helped clients with additional tasks such as utilizing her expertise in formatting financial statements and board packages for expedited condo/co-op board approval. “Buying and selling Manhattan real estate is a process,” she says. “My job is not complete until we’re all sitting around the closing table toasting to life’s next chapter!”
After growing up on Long Island, Mady has lived in New York City all of her adult life and can walk the avenues practically blindfolded. She previously lived in the West Village for 13 years and now resides on the Upper East Side. “I like how established yet quiet the East 70’s are,” she says. “It’s a great feeling to be on a first name basis with newspaper vendors on my corner.” In her free time, Mady enjoys skiing, swimming and biking. She also loves to travel, taking any opportunity she can to seek out walking tours of European cities. A supporter of causes that better the quality of lives of young children, Mady volunteers her time to these charities and is also an active member of the Hudson Union Club, the National Association of Professional Women and the Real Estate Board of New York.
