Jeff Wachtenheim's passion for New York's diversity and intrigue with exploring the different neighborhoods since a young age inspired him to enter the real estate business straight out of college in 2002. Thankfully, he says, there was a perfect career waiting for him that allowed him to embrace his love the city's unique architecture and people on a daily basis. Jeff has been thrilled with his decision to sell real estate ever since…and he's been quite a success at it from day one. To him, it doesn't feel like work at all; rather, it's a pleasure, and a privilege to help people find great homes.
Starting out of the gate as Rookie of the Year, Jeff continued building knowledge, making connections and closing deals over the years as a consistent top producer. Bringing his expertise to Town, he maintains his strong reputation as a downtown Manhattan specialist with the majority of his transactions below 23rd Street. Whether you're seeking or selling a home in Greenwich Village, SoHo, Tribeca, Gramercy, Flatiron or Chelsea, Jeff is the hands-down go-to agent with an exceptional track record for finding homes that could be "the one" the very first time around. He's even been known to beat out other brokers during the first big wave of buyers who converge on a hot new listing, and to close deals quickly (within 24 hours!) thanks to his finesse, market savvy and sixth sense for his clients' needs.
A credible and honest agent, Jeff doesn't work mainly for the commission; first and foremost, he works for the client's best interests. He always keep his buyers' and sellers' needs top of mind, providing attentive guidance that ensures swift and seamless results.
Originally from Westchester, NY, Jeff is a graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in Business and Marketing from Syracuse University. He lived in a Soho loft for many years before moving to a wonderful townhouse on West 9th Street in Greenwich Village where he currently resides. Jeff loves the melting pot of cultures who share his immediate neighborhood, and is fascinated by the incredible artistic, historic, social and culinary mix inherent in the city overall. He is an avid traveler who constantly seeks adventure, plus is an active volunteer for various food-based charities and events.
