In his daily work, Josh Carney is inspired by the quote that says, “A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.” There is no one who will work harder to make your dream of a home come true than he. Originally from Sydney, Australia, Josh fulfilled his own dream of living in New York - "the world's coolest city" in his opinion - many years ago. After a long time enjoying the beauty and community of Brooklyn, he moved to wonderful Tribeca, his current home; plus he's been a year-round Hamptons resident for quite some time as well.

Josh is ever stimulated by New York's contagious energy. With particular expertise in downtown Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Hamptons, and a thorough understanding of all NYC neighborhoods, he has a unique appreciation for the "gorgeous" niches within each special area. "Where we call home is fundamental to a healthy and happy life," he believes.

Josh holds a Masters in Real Estate (Finance & Investment) from New York University. He has extensive expertise in his field that includes serving as an acquisitions manager focused on multi-family properties at a private equity firm; advising high-net-worth and institutional investors seeking private residences and multi-family residential portfolios; working with developers of multi-family properties; appraising all property types for NYC's largest appraisal firm; and accumulating global experience in rentals, sales and new developments in Australia, the UK and Brazil.

Prior to turning his love of real estate into a career, Josh lived another dream traveling the world as a professional tennis player. This instilled in him the value of hard work, an ability to focus, and a burning desire to succeed. Besides being an avid athlete of all sports, especially tennis, snowboarding and surfing, he loves traveling the world, exploring NYC, and volunteering his time as a tennis coach for disadvantaged children
